This post is specifically following up on the one about being forced to live polygamy against your will.
Is it true that God asks us to hard things? Of course. Sacrifice is a true principle.
But usually God is asking us to sacrifice the natural man and to put ourselves under a higher law, a holier way.
But in the claim of polygamy, this is not about sacrificing the natural man.
Monogamy is not the natural man.
Quite the opposite!
Having multiple sex partners, being able to pursue any woman you want regardless of martial status, never being “off the market”— this is the natural man.
No, God never gives us a law and asks for a sacrifice to move away from a holy state and toward the natural man state.
