All I Possess

Leaving behind false traditions in search of the true Jesus

There is None Like Me

This podcast episode lays out the big picture — many doctrines, but the overall big picture — and concept of how the LDS faith differs from Christianity and can be seen as totally sacrilegious.

It’s all the “plan of salvation” and family of God. The whole point of “coming to earth” being to become a God.

All wrapped up in a nice package, it does sound appealing. Who doesn’t want a heavenly family?

So, yes, I know it sounds wonderful.

I loved this idea. For 40 years.

But we have to consider what the Bible says.

“With whom will you compare me or count me equal? To whom will you liken me that we may be compared? I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.” (Isaiah 48:5,9)

“Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.” (Isaiah 43:10)

I am the first and I am the last. There is no God but me.” (Isaiah 44:6)

These are pretty clear. I don’t know how you can argue with the Bible.

It might be sad to let go of the “family of God” idea, but there are so many other beautiful ideas you’ll learn in Christianity.

Like the fact that Jesus is God!

I’ll trade in my own egotism any day, just to know God. I would give all I possess! 💗

There is ONE on the throne: Jesus, Holy.
