“We’re having Christmas alone. We won’t let any of our kids come because they won’t get it.”
I can’t believe what I was hearing.
And this was so awkward.
Here I was standing in my neighbors’ living room, with the shocking contraband of pure blood flowing through my veins.
They didn’t know, and they weren’t asking. But if they weren’t even going to let their own children come over for Christmas, how dare I stand here?
So I wished them a merry Christmas and made a quick exit.
That was almost 3 years ago, and I’ve hardly spoken to them since.
Prior to that, we shared meals all the time and did favors for each other. A really sweet elderly couple.
I loved my neighbors (ward members). I really did.
I still do, I think.
But things have changed.
Just a few houses down the street, there is another very kind lady. One day in 2021 we sat and had a talk.
She couldn’t believe anybody with a “testimony” could possibly still have pure blood.
I don’t know what Christianity has to do with medical injections, but there you go.
This is what happens when you’re in a cult.
Going back to when the “cure” thing was first given to everyone, that Sunday when we went to church, a man in the ward was loudly asking some pals which of them had gotten it, and was giving high five out to several people.
Awkward.
No High Five for me. 🤷♀️
I sat quietly on the back row minding my own business.
The same week at church, there was a conversation in the hallway about somebody in the hospital who hadn’t had it. “Well, too bad for him,” this arrogant man said, “He wasn’t vac***nated”
As if the ones who had gotten it were never to be found in a hospital.
This just made LDS life super weird for some of us.
Mainstream people had no concept of why anyone wouldn’t do it.
Why would you research something like that?
Just fall in line and do it!
Listen to the authorities.
(If not the LDS authorities, the political authorities. Turns out they’re one and the same anyway.)
No thinking for yourself allowed.

“Yea, wo be unto him that hearkeneth unto the precepts of men, and denieth the power of God, and the gift of the Holy Ghost! …Curseth is he that putteth his trust in man, or maketh flesh his arm, or shall hearken unto the precepts of men” (2 Nephi 29:26)
